Although a little further out of town, The Baristro at Ping River is well worth the trek. Stay straight on the highway until you reach Ping River. Then, take a detour to the left — follow the windy road the runs just as fast as the river. There is a lot going on around these parts of town.

There is plenty of room to park up and sit down at The Baristro. The cafe spans two buildings and even has its own outdoor area that transitions down to the rapid flowing, Ping River.

The Baristro has a great atmosphere for a first date, to hang out with a bunch of friends or for a family gathering. There are many intimate corners where you can pull up a stool and do a bit of work or enjoy a quiet conversation with some privacy.

It’s is a popular hang out space for locals to meet up, take photographs & converse over some delicious cocktails. There is plenty of room to roam and relax.

Coffee and desert culture is very prominent in Thailand and The Baristros’ menu reflects that. There is a huge array of baked goods to choose from and a few traditional Thai desserts to round the menu off. If you’d rather drink your desert they have a full list of cocktail beverages you can choose from too. I decided to try a coffee based beverage a little left of center and I was pleasantly surprised.

By recommendation of my barista I tried a coconut iced coffee. The espresso was balanced nicely with the coconut water and coconut shavings.

The menu at both locations is identical so if you can’t make it out to Ping River never fear.

Their second location is located in the popular tourist area of Nimmanhemin. The Barisotel also doubles as a hotel so if you’re after a place to lay your head that is only a few steps away from delicious coffee then look no further.
