Owl's Choux ice cream in Hong Kong
OWL’S CHOUX ICE CREAM
麼地道32號地下H 舖 front portion of shop H, 32 Mody Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
Owl’s ice creamery is located on the most southern tip of Kowloon near Tsim Sha Tsui station. If you haven’t yet, I would highly recommend voyaging to Kowloon from Hong Kong Island via the famous Star Ferry.
You can use your Octopus card (Hong Kong’s MTR transit card) on the ferry. Be sure to grab a good window seat as there will be quite a rush!
Alternatively, you can take the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui station and walk 2 minutes. You will notice a high density of suit tailors in this area. Don’t be lured in by their cheap prices and overzealous hospitality. There are many scams surrounding tailored clothing in Asia. Do your research before walking into a store, because sometimes it’s near impossible to leave without feeling threatened.
Owl’s Choux ice creamery is a small store with little to no seating room inside. But don’t let this deter you.
Their freshly made gelato comes in many different flavours including hazelnut praline, mango and red velvet. To top it off, their choux pastry is deliciously crispy and light.
You can order just plain scoops of gelato or you can indulge in one of their choux pastry sandwiches. YUM!
Owl’s also has a great coffee menu, so if gelato isn’t your thing you can still enjoy a cup of joe.
There is no ideal time or day to visit Owl’s so don’t expect to get a seat. Being a small store I’d recommend visiting only in passing.
Grab a delicious treat and head down to Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for a leisurely walk along the Bay with a beautiful view of Hong Kong Island.
